Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Kings Park and Botanic Garden, Fraser Avenue, Perth, Western Australia 6005 Australia

Kings Park is renowned for its guarantee of wildflowers but areas such as Wireless Park, Gingin and Toodyay are also prolific at various times.

Stop At: Perth, Perth, Greater Perth, Western Australia

We visit locations all around the Perth region where we expect to find the finest wildflowers for you to see and smell, monitoring the progress of wildflowers once in season to ensure we minimise travel time.

Our experienced guide will help you identify rare and delicate wildflowers including renowned everlastings, orchids, red and green kangaroo paw, banksias, bottle brush and Western Australia’s most famous orange flowering Christmas trees. During the day at an opportune time (hopefully close to the gorgeous wildflowers), we stop for our included lunch (venue dependant on itinerary).

There is ample time to identify and photograph flowers and a complimentary wildflower booklet on Western Australia’s unique wildflowers is included.

Please be aware that this tour highlights individual species and not carpets or fields of flowers, which are found 500 kilometres north of Perth.

Most of the wildflowers we saw were in Kings Park. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, but, moved along very quickly; if you weren't right there with him when he stopped to point something out or explain something, he moved along before you could catch up with him. One couldn't stop to admire something for more than a few seconds, else you fell behind and missed what he said, while he moved on to the next point. All in all, the tour was enjoyable and he passed on a lot of interesting information.

Saw plenty of wildflowers but group too large for one leader, who didn't wait for everyone to get off bus before walking off. So much of detailed information missed. Also organisation of hotel drop offs at end was poor. Needs rethinking to account for city centre traffic. Quite poor value for money compared with other trips.

The wildflowers were beautiful, however, I think it was a little disappointing in terms of the tour guide's commentary. I was particularly offended by the description of the Grass Trees as Black Boys and Black Gins this is highly offensive to Aboriginal people and this person needs to be trained not to use these terms any more they are not acceptable.
