We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, Interacting with all different bird species, kangaroos & wallabies, well worth a visit, great for kids & adults, Max the black cockatoo was so cool. Plenty to see, as well as koala’s, tree kangaroos, salt water crocodile, they have almost completed a new pool, with thick glass in it, & you can swim with large salt water crocodiles, we will be back for another look👍👍👍👍👍

There was a very good diverse range of Australian native animals, incl many local to FNQ, was well spaced out, felt safe walking along all the paths and interacting with the animals, some enclosures were empty due to renovations but was signage for this, bit of a quiet time of the year so I'm not sure which daily activities were on but I got to interact with some of the bird life and I really like the Rainforest Habitat sector.

We hired bikes and rode along a lovely shaded path to get here. Could also do a nice long walk. The koalas are cute. Lots of kangaroos & wallabies; and birds, including the giant cassowary. There is also a crocodile section, but you're on an elevated boardwalk so it's safe.

A very limited representation of Australian birds and animals. The whole habitat was poorly presented. A dust bole, and did not appear to be well maintained. Crocodile feeding was a non event as only one crocodile turned up and was not interested in food.

Absolutely wonderful zoo. So beautifully done. Animal were well cared for in big areas. Staff were sweet and we loved the cuddles from the birds at the cafe. Highly recommend.

The whole habitat was simply beautiful. The birds all wanted cuddles and attention which could be daunting for some. How lovely that the birds choose to interact with humans. Great opportunity to feed kangaroos and the croc area being built looks amazing. Get a 10% discount voucher from your hotel.

This is a hidden gem. The park is set out with great walking paths which take you through different sections of the park. Even being able to climb to the top of the canopy and looking at the different birds was brilliant. The crocodile feeding was very informative and interesting. I loved having my photo taken cuddling a koala and of course the resident black cockatoo Max, who takes to females and snuggled into your neck. Feeding the kangaroos was fun. A wonderful place to spend quite a few hours here for both adults and children. Do not miss.

This complex is looking a bit tired. Admission for two adults $72.40 (I think that was Seniors rates) was pretty steep for the condition of the place.

Our kids really loved it. Huge variety of birds. It is really different from a zoo or sanctuary you see in your cities. It had that Tropical touch. Nice !

Disappointing I think that the environment in which some of the animals is kept is very poor. A lot of the areas are very dry and dusty with insufficient greenery. The Koalas are in an area with a few dead looking leaves. I do not like to see sleeping koalas pulled from trees to take them to have photographs taken. The kangaroos are very placid and allow people to feed them which is very nice. There was one poor animal (I don’t know it’s name as there was no sign on the cage) who was in a small cage on its own with very little greenery on a concrete floor. I don’t know why it was kept like this, but it looked very sad, and very few animals live on concrete floors on their own.
